BHWSDCS, your local deaf children's society, provides support to d/Deaf children and their families in West Sussex, and across Brighton & Hove. 

Our committee is made up entirely of parents of deaf children, who volunteer their time to organise and run the events, and host the coffee mornings/drop-in sessions, in order to ensure that the children and their families are supported, and have access to fun events and experiences.

With many of our member children being the only deaf children or one with a hearing loss  in a mainstream school, events such as ours are often their only opportunity they get to meet up with other children like them. These events include an annual party, theatre trips to local pantomimes (BSL interpreted), days out to local attractions (e.g. Fishers Farm) and park meets at country parks and play areas during the spring and summer holidays.
